'Sonia temple' builder denied Congress ticket
Sycophancy in politics is important, but it need not be very helpful. Former Minister and Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao, the main who gained ignominy, by wanting to change the name of Telangana to 'Sonia Telanagana', learnt this the hard way.
The leader who even constructed a temple in Sonia's name, was not given a ticket by the party. Not only Shankar Rao, Sabita Indra Reddy has also been denied ticket. Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao is the Congress nominee from Amberpet while Dr P Vijay Kumar is the candidate from Musheerabad assembly.
According to reports, Shankar was denied the ticket because of a number of pending cases against him.
