'Sonia Telangana' mastermind being ignored by Congress?

Former minister and Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao who wanted to change the name of Telangana to 'Sonia Telangana,' as a token of his gratitude for allowing the division, it would seem , is not getting any respect or acknowledgement form the high command.  

Shankar Rao has been known to invest his time into creating exaggerated displays of affection for the Congress chief, a temple in Sonia's name being the prime example.  The land for the temple came from his own nine acres of property at Nandigama in Kotturu mandal. However, his commitment to the party is not being reciprocated. 

The buzz in the political parties is that Congress High Command is denying Shankar Rao a ticket and is considering another name in his place, instead.  

Since the selection of candidates for Congress party has come to end, several leaders including DK Aruna, Geetha Reddy and several former ministers are lobbying for tickets for their supporters from Congress.  

According to reports, Shankar Rao is asking the Congress High Command to give ticket to at least his daughter.  Sources said that Congress is hesitating to give him ticket, because of pending cases against Shankar Rao.

It is remains to be seen whether he will get a ticket, or will get ditched by the party.
