Soldier commits suicide  

Havildar committed suicide at the artillery centre in Golconda - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: An Army havildar committed suicide on Sunday night at the artillery centre in Golconda. The incident came to light around 7:30 pm after other soldiers found his body hanging from a tree at staff quarters who then alerted senior officials.

A complaint has been filed by Lt Colonel B C Jha and a case has been registered under section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC. Lt Colonel B C Jha informed police official that the victim, Kulvinder Singh (33) took one month leave and reported back to duty on July 30.

“We didn’t find any suicide letter from the spot but we suspect that due to family issues Kulvinder might have taken this step,” said Golconda SI K Ram Lal.

The SI added that they have informed victim’s family members who is a native of Punjab.
