Situation tense at Chandrababu's residence

Situation turned tense at TDP chief Chandrababu's residence when a party activist tried to commit suicide protesting the electoral alliance with BJP. 

After the news spread that Narayanapeta would be given to BJP, TDP activist Rajender poured kerosene on his body and tried to self immolate in front of Naidu's residence. He threatened to kill himself if the seat is not given to TDP. 

However, the Police, who acted swiftly, could stop the suicide. 

It is worth mentioning here that some BJP leaders from Telangana opposed the electoral alliance with TDP and threatened to quit the party. They also met party's national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar and told him that they would quit the party if it formed a tie-up with TDP.
