Shot in the arm for YSRCP candidate Meka Seshubabu

YSRCP leader Gunnam Nagababu has withdrawn his nomination and has announced his support to official candidate Meka Seshubabu for Palacole Assembly constituency in the ensuing elections.

While YSRCP had succeeded in mollifying disgruntled leaders, the TDP was not as successful. Despite Chandrababu Naidu's personal entreaties, TDP rebel candidate Dr.Ch.Satyanarayana Murthy (Babji) refused to withdraw his candidature. 

Babji filed the nomination papers as a rebel candidate in protest against the party's decision to gave the ticket to Nimmala Ramanaidu.

Babji clarified that he is contesting in the elections as per the wish of his followers.
