Shoe Thrown At Asad Owaisi In Mumbai Rally

Mumbai: MIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi had to undergo an unpleasant experience in South Mumbai’s Nagpad last night. A man hurled a shoe at Asaduddin Owaisi while delivering a speech. Unaffected by the incident, he continued his speech on the issue of Triple Talak.

Expressing his views about the Triple Talak issue, Owaisi told the gathering, “I will go as far as sacrificing my life for protecting the democratic rights of people. They cannot realise the reality that the people of this country, especially Muslims are not accepting Triple Talak. These people are intolerant. These people carry the same ideology as the culprits who have killed the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Govind Pansare and Narendra Dhabolkar. It is because of the ideology of hatred that attacks like these are happening frequently these days.”

Referring to the person who threw the shoe at him, Asaduddin Owaisi said, “These attacks cannot hinder me from speaking out the truth." The police are investigating the incident.
