Shocked YS Jagan rushes to Rajahmundry

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed shock and distress at the unprecedented stampede at Rajahmundry pushkarams that killed over 25 pilgrims.

YS Jagan, who was to attend an Iftar at Vijayawada on Tuesday evening, cancelled the programme and rushed to Rajahmundry. According to party leader Talasila Raghuram, the YSRCP chief is likely to reach Rajahmundry by afternoon and will rush to the hospital where the injured are being treated.

The party also appealed to YSRCP activists to provide all help to the pilgrims and ensure their safety. It asked party activists, who are medical professionals, to rush to the spot and provide medical help.
