Shilparamam to be closed down temporarily from June due to the construction of flyover

Hyderabad: Shilparamam will be closed down temporarily from June due to the construction of flyover as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme. Over two acres of land inside Shilparamam will be used to store pillars of the flyover. This will change the enitre face of 25-year-old establishment.

As the construction work will take more than a year, the stall owners here are asked to move by June. Closing down the cultural village will be a huge loss to many families who earn their living by arranging stalls in and around Shilparamam.

The main entry and exit points will be demolished completely to accommodate two flyovers, both starting from Trident hotel. One of the them will connect Gachibowli and JNTU, the other one runs from Madhapur to Kondapur. The construction of flyovers eases traffic congestion in the Hi-tech City and Madhapur areas, which are the major IT hubs in the city.
