Shankar Rao, wife surrender, get bail
Former minister Shankar Rao on Wednesday surrendered before the Central Crime Station (CCS) police along with his wife Shanta. Shankar Rao’s daughter-in-law Vishnupriya filed a petition in the High court on Tuesday alleging that he and his family members harassed her.
She said she had complained to the CCS police about the harassment. But, they did not initiate action. So, she moved the High Court seeking action against her father-in-law and Congress leader Shankar Rao.
Shankar Rao and his wife Shanta were released on bail after he presented two guarantee bonds worth Rs 10,000.
