Shankar Rao slams Chief Minister

Former minister, Dr P Shankar Rao was at it again. He hit out at Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy saying that he was shielding certain people, implying there was favouritism being shown to select officers and others.

He said that as per the High Court orders, the government should replace Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy and also asked the government not to challenge the High Court verdict in the Supreme Court.Rao said that the government should initiate the process of filling up the DGP post afresh based on the seniority of IPS officers. He questioned as to why the CM was backing Dinesh Reddy instead of appointing someone from other experienced officers in the field. He added that the Governor should intervene in the matter immediately.
