Several TDP Leaders From Kurnool Join YSRCP

In what is being seen as a setback to the ruling Telugu Desam Party, prominent medical expert and TDP Kurnool district medical cell president Dr Ramireddy and several other key TDP officials have joined the YSR. They joined the party in the presence of Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Kurnool district. The leaders who left the TDP to join the YSRCP are all from Kovelakuntla area. YS Jagan welcomed them into the party.

Among the others who joined the party are : Kovelakuntla market yard director Srinivas Naik, former MPTC member Kumar, senior leader Madduru Ramasubba Reddy, Kaipa village leaders Pratap Reddy and Mahesh.

New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Amid the latest wave of Covid-19, the number of SARS-CoV2 infections in the country has risen to 2,170. As many as 511 new cases were recorded from the previous day, according to the latest update by the Health Ministry on Saturday. Meanwhile, 255 patients were discharged or migrated in the last 24 hours, indicating an improvement in recovery.
