Several Leaders To Attend Jayalalithaa’s Funeral 

Jayalalithaa’s mortal remains kept at Rajaji Hall - Sakshi Post

The Centre on Tuesday announced that a State funeral would be accorded to Jayalalithaa, even as the President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi make their way to Chennai to pay their respects to the departed leader.

Various prominent leaders and celebrities continue to make their way to pay respects to the mortal remains of J Jayalalithaa which are placed at Rajaji Hall, where lakhs of people have assembled already to mourn their departed leader.

The funeral is to take place on Marina Beach at 4 PM on Tuesday evening next to the grave of AIADMK founder and Jayalalithaa’s mentor MG Ramachandran.

Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu and Pon. Radhakrishnan will be attending the funeral on behalf of the Centre.

Several Chief Ministers are also expected to attend the funeral. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu have already announced that they would be attending the funeral.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is also expected to visit Rajaji Hall before making it to the funeral on Marina Beach.
