Seven dead in mishap

Seven persons were killed and four others injured when two four-wheelers collided head-on in Mahboobnagar district of Telangana on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of Komireddipalli on NH-44 when a vehicle with Maharashtra registration number crossed the road divider and hit another coming from opposite direction resulting in the death of seven persons and injuries to 4 others, a police officer said. Wanaparthy DSP Jogula Chenaiah, who visited the spot of the accident, said six persons travelling in the Maharashtra registration vehicle died while one lady occupant travelling in the another four wheeler died in the mishap. Asked from which state the victims belonged, the DSP said they are still verifying the details as the some of the injured victims are in an unconscious state.  The injured were shifted to the nearby hospital.
