Senior journalist Piratla passes away

Senior journalist and editor of Krishna Patrika Piratla Venkateswarlu passed away at a private nursing home in Narayanaguda. He has been a diabetic and was seriously unwell due to diabetes-related nervous complications.

Venkateswarlu began his social life as an RSS full-timer and later became the national secretary of the ABVP. He led the ABVP in Andhra Pradesh during the tumultuous days of Emergency.
Later, he forayed into journalism and became editor of Krishna Patrika. He is also actively associated with small newspapers association of India.
