Senior BJP leader Dattatreya bags ministerial berth
BJP which is planning to become stronger in Telangana made a another strong move by allocating a ministerial berth to the region.
BJP's only MP in Telangana, Bandaru Dattatreya is all set to become a union minister in the latest cabinet expansion slated for Sunday. Bandaru Dattatreya got a call from PMO office, late night on Friday. He will leave with his family for New Delhi on Saturday evening.
10 new faces are likely to get berth's while 2 will be given to its ally Shiv Sena. Similarly, Sujana Chowdary, an industrialist-turned-politician from the TDP, is also likely to get a ministerial berth.
Bandaru Dattatreya who started his career with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) joined BJP in 1980 and occupied many important positions. He worked as Union Minister of State for Urban Development in 1998-2002 and as Ministry of Railways in 2002-2004.
