Sengupta takes charge as HC Chief Justice

Justice Kalyan Jyothy Sengupta is sworn in as Chief Justice of State High Court on Tuesday.

Governor E V L Narasimhan administered the oath of the office with Sengupta at a function held at Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, ministers and higher officials participated on the occasion. Earlier, he was a judge in the Uttarakhand High Court and was elevated as CJ. Justice Sengupta began his career as a lawyer and practiced civil, criminal and constitutional matters in Calcutta High Court.
