Selfie With Calvin, 1000 WhatsApp Messages Establish Charmme’s Nexus With Drug Mafia

Hyderabad: Wednesday's interrogation of Tollywood actress Charmme by the SIT of Excise Enforcement in drugs scandal is going to be crucial as close relations were found between her and the drug peddler Calvin Masceranhas and director Puri Jagannadh around whom the entire episode is revolving.

Following a direction by the Hyderabad High Court to deploy women officers to question Charmme, the department has posted an assistant excise superintendent and three inspectors to conduct the interrogation. The actress who challenged the legality of the interrogation in the court also sought permission to take along her advocate to the investigation office at Abkari Bhavan but the court refused it.

The investigation team is directed to take blood and hair samples of the actress only if she is willing.

It's learnt that Calvin had close contact with Charmme and her number was saved in his mobile as Charmmedada. Over 1,000 messages on WhatsApp were exchanged between the two. Calvin also took a selfie with the actress at a function after the release of her movie Jyothilakshmi.

In an obvious move to show that she was not perturbed by all the controversy surrounding the investigation, Charmme showed an absolute cool before entering the SIT office in Nampally. She left home around 6am and went to Paisa Vasool shooting spot at Kondapur which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh.

She arrived at the SIT office at around 10am along with her lawyer and her bodyguards. However, the actress was escorted into the investigation cell by the security personnel of the department and her lawyer and bouncers were made to wait outside.
