Selfie Craze Claims Another Life, Girl Swept Away By High Tide
Mumbai: A college student has become latest victim of selfie craze when she drowned at the Marine Drive in Mumbai while taking a selfie with her friends. She was swept away by high tide while posing for selife.
Victim was identified as 17-year-old Priti Shrikrishna Pise. She visited Aquarium at Taraporewala with her friends on Tuesday afternoon.
Unmindful of high tide in the area, she tried to click some pictures of herself and her friends close to the promenade. Immediately, she was hit by a wave and was swept away. Although her friends tried to save her, she drowned.
The rescue teams spotted her body at late in the night. The police conducted postmortem and handed over the body to her parents.
