Seemandhra MPs force Parliament adjournment till 2 pm
New Delhi: The uproar over state bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh continued in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha forcing adjournment of the monsoon sessions several times.
As expected, several Congress and TDP MPs from Seemandhra raised Samaikyandhra slogans holding placards.
As the MPs did not pay heed to the Speaker's request, the house was adjourned till noon. On the other hand, MPs from the Bodland too raised slogans demanding a separate state.
They were holding placards: "We want justice for Seemandhra area" and "We want united Andhra Pradesh".
In the Rajya Sabha too, opposing the division of the state Seemandhra MPs kept raising slogans, forcing Chairman Hamid Ansari to adjourn the house again till 12.30 pm.
