Seemandhra ministers obstruct LS proceedings
Union Ministers from Seemandhra region on Tuesday obstructed the proceedings of the house as a mark of protest against the AP Reorganization Bill – 2013-14.
As per reports, the discussion on the Bill was supposed to start at 12 pm, and was supposed to end by day end. It may be recalled that there is very little time for the discussion on the same as the Parliament session ends on Feb 21.
The centre is planning to implement the same procedure in Rajya Sabha too and end the discussion there in one day itself.
Some Seemandhra ministers met AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday.
The ministers are angry with the centre as it is going ahead on the bill without taking into the account the concerns of the people from Seemandhra region. With this, the ministers have decided to stall the proceedings of the Parliament in both the houses.
