Seema MLA has Babu looking sideways
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu cut a sorry figure on Thursday in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, when a YSRCP MLA questioned why he has no love for his own region.
Participating in a debate over the new capital location, YSRCP Dhone MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy questioned Chandrababu's love for Rayalaseema.
"Our honorable Chief Minister Chandrababu came from Rayalaseema, which is a backward region. Usually, every politician has at least some love for their region. They will strive to benefit their region. But Chandrababu did not do anything for Rayalaseema," the YSRCP MLA said amid the noise of TDP members.
Questioning the ruling members as to why Sivaramakrishnan Committee was sidelined, Rajendranath said the committee members are persons of great integrity. "But we are not even discussing about the report."
He also said that AP government has also constituted an Advisory Committee on development of a capital city. "Out of the seven members of the committee, six are businessmen. They are heads of companies that produce, seeds, batteries or run real estate business and schools," he sarcastically said asking the ruling members what was the agenda behind this committee?
These comments left Chandrababu red faced.
