Security beefed up in Vijayawada

Heavy security arrangements were made in Vijayawada due to the swearing in ceremony of N.Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 8.

The event will be held at an area between Vijayawada and Guntur.

Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan , five chief ministers, Senior BJP leader L.K.Advani, BJP national president Rajnath Singh, 15 union ministers and others are expected to attend the event.

All of them will land at Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada and reach the venue by road.

Police personnel are appearing everywhere in the city. CCTV cameras are arrangements at main centres in the city.

About 100 hotels in Vijayawada are booked by the officials and TDP leaders. With this, security has been tightened at these hotels too.

Due to the rush of VIPs, number of pilgrims at Kanaka Durga Temple in the city are increasing gradually.
