Secunderabad building collapse: Toll climbs to 8

With two more bodies being recovered from the debris of a building that collapsed in Hyderabad in the wee hours of Monday, the death toll has gone up to 6, while 12 people have been injured in the mishap, police said.

The number of deaths in a two-floor building collapse in Secunderbad has now been put at 8. The injured have been admitted to various hospital in the city where three persons are said to be in a critical state.

23 people have been injured in the collapse while many others are still feared trapped or dead under the debris. city police commissioner Anurag Sharma said that the cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
