Hyderabad: A second attempt to implode an illegal construction building went awry on Monday when three GHMC workers suffered serious injuries when they were hit by splinters in the process of imploding the building at SIET colony near Sunnam Cheruvu in Madhapur, Hyderabad.

The condition of the two workers appears to be critical. All the three were immediately shifted to a hospital in Madhapur.

It may be recalled that the GMHC officials had attempted to bring down the under-construction multi-storeyed building, which was unauthorizedly built at SIET colony near Sunnam Cheruvu in Madhapur, with an implosion technique.

However, the building did not cave in. As a result, the building was precariously tilted.
