SCR To Run 626 Special Trains For Krishna Pushkarams
Hyderabad: To clear extra rush of passengers during Krishna Pushkarams in both the Telugu states, South Central Railway (SCR) will run 626 special trains to various places from Secunderabad.
“626 special trains, including 146 reserved and 480 unreserved, will be run. In addition, temporary stoppages for 93 trains at nine stations and 2,000 additional coaches have been attached to various regular trains,” said Ravindra Gupta, SCR General Manager in a release.
Gupta on Wednesday inspected the Vijayawada, Rayanapadu and Krishna Canal railway stations and said that heavy rush along the Pushkarams route will be witnessed at 13 stations and during weekends the footfall may go up to 5 lakh.

Arrangements have been made to handle security by installing additional surveillance cameras, ambulance and doctor on call, public address system for announcements, requisitioning services of scouts and guides and other voluntary organizations
Apart from this round-the-clock control office has been set up at Vijayawada station. Nearly 2,000 additional railway personnel have been assigned temporary duty and 600 contract employees have been assigned to handle cleanliness.
