Schwarzenegger praises Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Actor-turned-politician and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday hailed prime minister Narendra Modi for his administrative abilities and said he always admired Modi as a leader.

Speaking after the 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS), the Terminator actor said he has been watching Modi's administrative abilities as a leader ever since he was Gujarat's chief minister.

The 67-year-old actor-turned-politician also said he was inspired by the idea of covering canals with solar panels and implemented the same in California.

Modi was very impressive on climate change measures in Gujarat, Schwarzenegger said, hoping that he visits Paris for the Paris Conference of the Parties (COP 21) with "an environment friendly mentality".
