DEO A Usha Rani said that after conducting inquiry they found that the teacher didn’t hit the student Suresh with a duster but slapped hard, adding that even hitting is wrong and found the teacher at fault.
“The boy has been slapped which is against the rules, hence we directed the management to sack teacher from service. The school management has also been issued a notice to explain why the registration of the institution should not be cancelled,” the DEO said.
Meanwhile, Suresh’s statement hasn’t been recorded by Jagadgirigutta police as Suresh is still admitted in ICU. Jagadgirigutta SI G Murali Kumar said, “We will record his statement after he is discharged from ICU and will take action following his statement.”
It may be recalled that the teacher hit the boy on October 25 for being irregular to classes. Subsequently, the boy had to undergo surgery two times to remove the blood clot and parents blamed teacher for their son’s condition.
