SC to CBI: Probe assets of DGP Dinesh
The Supreme Court on Friday directed the CBI to conduct a probe into assets owned by Director General of Police (DGP) V Dinesh Reddy.
Umesh Kumar, another DGP rank police officer, filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking a CBI probe into the assets of Dinesh Reddy.
The war between Dinesh Redy and Umesh Kumar has been going on with a battle of allegations and counter-allegations ever since Dinesh Reddy was appointed DGP.
The duo, 1977 batchmates have been engaged in verbal duel for quite some time now.
Umesh Kumar also filed a petition in the Court seeking directions against probing forgery allegations leveled against him. Umesh Kumar received a major blow when the court ruled out asking him to take the matter to the lower court if he had any objections.
