SC serves notice to AP govt on Roja suspension
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notices to the Andhra Pradesh Government and the Assembly secretary in connection with the suspension of YSRCP MLA RK Roja.
Roja has approached the Supreme Court challenging the verdict of the division bench of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
During the hearing, which began on Thursday, the Supreme Court commented that it was not right to say that the action against the MLA was taken not under Rule 340 (2), but under Rule 194. It also said that the High Court division bench was not right in taking this into account. The hearing has been adjourned to April 21.
