SC Ruling on Article 370 Evokes Angry Reaction On Twitter

The Apex court on Tuesday said that Article 370 of the Constitution, conferring special status on J&K and limiting the Central government's power to make laws for the state, had acquired permanent status through years of existence, making its abrogation impossible.
It's worth mentioning here that minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said on Tuesday said that the Central government had no proposal to scrap Article 370 of the Constitution which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Ahir said: "There is currently no such proposal under consideration of the government."
The article, added to the Constitution by a Presidential Order in 1954, accords special rights and privileges to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and empowers its legislature to frame any law without attracting a legal challenge.
The provision prohibits all Indians -- except people from Jammu and Kashmir -- from purchasing immovable property in the state, getting government jobs and availing state-sponsored scholarship schemes.
However, this has evoked widespread criticism from Twitterati. Have a look at the tweets...
Although, am not an expert on law, it does appear to me that such a ruling by the SC implies that J&K can never be completely integrated with the rest of... https://t.co/HlGrsegrCP — Shenoy K Kamal (@shenoykk84) April 4, 2018 I haven't heard anything more lame than the abrogation is impossible coz article 370 has existed since so many years and hence acquired permanent status.
