SC rejects Sudhakar Reddy's petition in 26 GOs case

SC rejects Sudhakar Reddy's petition in 26 GOs case - Sakshi Post

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the petition filed by Nellore lawyer Sudhakara Reddy seeking investigation into the involvement of ministers and IAS officers in the controversial 26 GOs case.

It may be recalled here that Sudhakar Reddy had filed a petition on the premise that it was improper for the CBI to make Jagan Mohan Reddy a culprit, without probing into the involvement of the other ministers and officials.

During the arguments, CBI told the court that the chargesheets were filed against three ministers and IAS officers and the probe was on. They also said that the case is already in the CBI court and thus Supreme Court's intervention at this juncture was not required.

Dismissing the lawyer's petition, the judge ruled that the issue can be resolved at the lower court level itself.
