SC Hostel Student Commits Suicide

Palamaner (Chittoor): A student of SC Hostel in Kolamasanapalle committed suicide by hanging in the hostel bathroom, on Tuesday.

According to hostel warden, the boy Mukesh Naik stayed back at the hostel on Tuesday since it was a holiday and did not venture out. Sensing his absence in the evening study class, the warden sent other students to check on him. However, the students found Mukesh dead in the bathroom. They alerted the police, soon afterwards.

Meanwhile, the hostel warden said that Mukesh spoke about his plans to secure high marks during a speech in Bangarupalem recently. His classmates said that Mukesh slipped into depression after his uncle committed suicide sometime ago. Police did not find any suicide note at the scene of the crime. Further details are awaited.
