Sangeet Som’s Taj Remark Takes Twitter by Storm: Funny, Angry Reactions Pour in

When BJP MLA Sangeet Som shared his pearls of wisdom on India's pride, Taj Mahal little did he realize he was going to spark a huge controversy.

Addressing a mass gathering in Meerut, the MLA from Uttar Pradesh said that the historic monument did not deserve a place in Indian history. “Many people were disappointed when Taj Mahal was removed from Indian history. What history are you talking about? The creator of the Taj Mahal (Mughal emperor Shah Jahan) imprisoned his own father. He wanted to wipe out Hindus from Hindustan,” said Som.

Soon as the video of his speech leaked on the social media, users went berserk. Reactions started pouring in as the emotions ranged from anger to funny. Here are a few interesting tweets.
