Samara Deeksha: Police arrest pro-'T' activists

In order to foil the proposed 'Samara Deeksha' by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC), who are demanding that the Centre declare separate statehood for Telangana on January 28, the police today arrested several leaders including TRS MLA KTR.

Tension prevailed near TJAC office when the police prevented KTR from proceeding towards Indira Park, where the TJAC planned to hold a Samara Deeksha.

Police said they arrested KTR as he was participating in a meeting that was denied permission by the government.
