Samaikyandhra stir hits EAMCET hard
The EAMCET counselling which began across the state on Monday faces hurdle on the second consecutive day in all the districts of the Seemandhra region due to Samaikyandhra stir.
According to reports, the officials were forced to stop counseling in Vizianagaram as polytechnic teachers boycotted their duties in protest against the Centre's decision to carve out Telangana state.
Similar scenes were witnessed in Vizag where the employees boycotted their duties to participate in agitations.
In Kurnool district, APNGOs staged sit-in protests at the counselling centres. This led to the halt of counselling at Nandyala polytechnic college, Pulla Reddy government polytechnic college and Rayalaseema Varsity on Tuesday.
In Ananthapuram district, the counselling which was scheduled at the Ananthapur polytechnic college and SK college was halted.
Counseling began at YV Engineering college in Proddutur under police security. Meanwhile the counselling process was off to a great start in Kadapa district.
