Sakshi Has Marched Ahead Against All Odds: YS Bharathi Reddy

Sakshi chairperson YS Bharathi Reddy asserted that the Sakshi newspaper lived up to the ideals for which it had been launched and in doing so earned the trust of the readers. She was speaking on the occasion of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Sakshi media group on Saturday. The celebrations centered in the head quarters at Hyderabad were held across all the branches of the media group. She threw open the celebrations in Hyderabad by cutting a cake to mark the occasion. A live video telecast of the event was arranged in all centres of Sakshi and was witnessed by employees across the units.

Addressing a huge gathering, the chairperson congratulated the Sakshi family on completing a successful 10-year journey. Stating that Sakshi was a newspaper that created history on the day of its launch, she said that it stood up to the fierce competition and successfully managed to break the 30-year-old media monopoly in undivided Andhra Pradesh emerging a winner in the process.

YS Bharathi Reddy also said that Sakshi faced many a challenge along the way including cases being slapped by CBI and ED attachments among others. "But Sakshi remained unfazed," she recalled. She also said thet despite facing hurdles in the form of deliberate denial of advertisements, threats to subscribers against buying the paper, Sakshi strode ahead fearlessly. It was only becasue of the steadfast loyalty of the employees could Sakshi hold its ground and forge ahead despite political conspiracies, she observed.

The chairperson of the media group also conveyed YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's message to the Sakshi family on the occasion predicated on three core points—To always stay ahead of the competition and be the best. "Even if it takes a while to reach our goal we will certainly get there," she reminded the staff. Sakshi has to be the voice of truth come what may. "Sakshi should always stand up for the people and be with people," she concluded.

The event which was organised on a grand scale was attended by the Editorial director K Ramachandra Murthy, Former editorial director Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Y Eshwar Prasad Reddy, Rani Reddy, KRP Reddy and Sakshi editor V Murali, among others.
