Sadak Bandh arrests illegal: Harish Rao

TRS MLA Harish Rao on Saturday said that there was no loss after the arrests of floor leader Etela Rajendar, MLA Jupally Krishna Rao and TJAC convenor M Kodandaram as they will start a Telangana movement in the jail itself.

The arrested members are capable of turning others into Telangana supporters. Demanding withdrawal of cases against them, the MLA termed the arrests as illegal. He asked what was the need for the police to arrest Kodandaram and Etela in the middle of the road.

Meanwhile, the BJP has threatened to undertake agitational programmes if the leaders arrested for participating in the sadak bandh were not released.

BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy and  Telangana Nagara Samithi president Nagam Janardhan Reddy met Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and discussed the issue. Speaking to the media after the meeting, they said Kiran Reddy had assured them to look into the issue.
