Rumour has it: Will Kanna be the next CM?
Andhra Pradesh agriculture minister Kanna Lakshminarayana's meeting with Governor ESL Narasimhan on Saturday has generated considerable interest in Andhra political circles.
The meeting assumed significance against the backdrop of rumours that Congress High Command is mulling the idea of a change of guard in AP.
According to sources, their discussion mainly centered around the political situation in the state. Political circles are rife with rumours that Lakshminarayan is slowly emerging as the winner in CM race. The rumors gained strength after his recent meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi. Moreover, his recent meeting with former PCC president D Srinivas who is known to be close to the party bosses in Delhi, has triggered widespread speculation of a possible revamp in the state government.
