RS election: MLA Kamala drops blank paper in ballot - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad, Rajya Sabha voting brought forth the creativity among Congress MLAs on Friday.

MLA Daggubati Vekanteshwara Rao tried emulating 'none of the above option' to show his disregard for the candidates nominated. He said his act was a protest against the injustice meted out to Seemandhra region.

Mangalagiri MLA Kamdru Kamala used her vote even more creatively. She dropped a blank paper into ballet box. Like Daggupati, she chose not to support any of the candidates.

On the other hand CM Kiran and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, both voted for their preferred candidates. Speaker Nadendla Manohar was the first person to cast his vote, while YSRCP, BJP and CPM stayed away from voting.

Those nominated, include, K.V.P. Ramanchandra Rao, T. Subbarami Reddy and M. A. Khan from Congress, Dr K. Kesava Rao from TRS, and Thota Seetha Rama Laxmi, Garikapati Mohan Rao from TDP.
