Row over NTR’s photo on YSRCP posters

Row over NTR’s photo on YSRCP posters - Sakshi Post

Fexi posters appeared in Gudivada town in Krishna district with NTR and YSR photos side by side sparked a row on Friday when TDP leaders raised objection for using NTR’s photo welcoming Sharmila, sister of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as part of her padayatra.

YSRCP leader Kodali Nani, hardcore fan of NTR and close friend of Junior NTR strongly rebuked the Desam leaders’ remarks saying that everyone has right to have the photo of NTR.

TDP leader Revanth Reddy raised objection over using NTR’s photo on the flex and demanded immediate removal from the YSRCP posters. Lakshmi Parvathi, wife of late NTR, however, backed the YSRCP workers and said any Telugu-speaking person has a right to use NTR’s picture as he was in the hearts of Telugus. But, TDP has not moral right to use NTR’s photo, she said.

Kodali Nani criticised Chandrababu Naidu for driving away NTR from the party and accused him of being responsible for the death of NTR. He lashed out at Naidu for using NTR’s photo only for political gains. He said people were respecting leaders like NTR and YSR for their commitment for the upliftment of the downtrodden. He warned the TDP leaders of dire consequences if they did not stop making wild allegations against him. Except Telugu Desam party everybody could use NTR’s photos, Nani added.

Meanwhile, hundreds of fans of Junior NTR on Friday announced that they would support YSRCP in the coming elections and joined the party in the presence of Sharmila.
