Robbers Gang on ATM Loot Spree in Medak, Nizamabad

Hyderabad: A robbers gang went on a looting spree on Tuesday night at several ATMs in Medak and Nizamabad districts.The gang comprising four persons believed to have come from Maharashtra broke open ATMs at Lingampet, Kotagiri and Mindora and looted around Rs43 lakh. An ATM caught fire when the robbers were trying to open it with a gas cutter and all the cash, around Rs10 lakh, burned to ashes.

A patrolling team of Medak police spotted the robbers at around 3am Mindora and opened fire at them, but they fled in a van. Police chased the van and when it entered, Nizamabad police also joined the manhunt. Three special teams are continuing the search in Gandhari area in Nizamabad district.
