River takes lives of three

Guntur: Three members of a family, including two minor boys, drowned in the Suvarnamukhi river in Guntur district, police said on Thrusday May 14.

The three had ventured into the river for a bath when they were swept inside by the undercurrents at Egotivalasa in Seethanagaram mandal of the district on May 13 evening, they said. The bodies were later fished out and sent for postmortem to the government hospital at Bobbili, police said. The deceased were identified as C Krishna (40) and his two nephews Nagendra (12) and Mahindra (11), they added.
