Rift in Kadapa Congress as two groups clash
A Congress leader fired in the air two rounds when he was attacked by his rival group at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district on Wednesday.
A clash triggered when Nagendra Yadav, a neo-convert from PRP to Congress tried to invite Minister for Handlooms Prasada Rao at Gandikota Guest House. Jammalamadugu MLA Devagudi Adinarayana Reddy had already arranged a meeting with the minister.
Irked by Nagendra Yadav’s attempts to spoil the pre-scheduled programme, the supporters of Adinarayana Reddy had a verbal dual with Yadav and Chandramouli and their men. They clashed each other shouting slogans. When the situation turned violent, Nagendra Yadav fired in the air in a bid to quell the mob attacking him. Nagendra Yadav and Chandramouli lodged a complaint with Jammalamadugu police.
