Rich Claims of Groom land Him Behind Bars Straight from Reception

Hyderabad: In a funny incident, a groom was arrested at his Valima ceremony (wedding reception) after his in-laws claimed he cheated them and got married to their daughter.

According to Rain Bazar police 35-year-old Mohammed Ahmed Ali, a resident of Humayun Nagar, posed himself as a wealthy bachelor. However, all his declarations turned out to be false when the bride came to in-laws house after the wedding. In reality he was a flower vendor and this was his second marriage. She alerted her parents and they planned to get him arrested at the reception on the second day of the marriage.

Bride’s mother Sajida Akhtar filed a complaint against him. She accused the groom of lying to them about his marital and financial status and called him a fraud. Ali told Sajida and her family that he has lot of money and he is a bachelor.

Unluckily for both the parties the truth was exposed on the wedding day and the groom was arrested by the Rain Bazar police inspector from his reception ceremony after the bride’s mother filed a complaint against him for the fraud.
