Rhinoceros creates rampage in Vizag zoo

A rhinoceros on Thursday created panic among the visitors at Visakhapatnam zoo as it broke open the gate and came out of the cage.

There was heavy rush in the zoo on Thursday on the account of Ugadi holiday. The rogue rhinoceros crashed the main gate and jumped off the cage. Sensing the trouble, the zoo authorities sent away the visitors.  A curator was injured seriously in the attack by rhinoceros. He was rushed to hospital. The zoo authorities sent out the visitors declaring holiday for the zoo.

The rhinoceros has been brought from Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad recently and was yet to adjust to the new environment, said the zoo authorities.
