Revanth Reddy Writes Open Letter To KCR, Protests Handcuffing Of Farmers

Kodangal MLA A. Revanth Reddy writes Open Letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on the Telangana government for its highhandedness on distraught chilli farmers, TDP Telangana working president A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

He found fault with the police personnel for handcuffing the farmers. The police also booked cases against the agriculture labourers under various sections. It may be recalled that the irate farmers went on a rampage after the chilli price per quintal fell sharply.

The farmers vandalised agricultural market yard in Khammam. Subsequently, a few farmers who had resorted to the arson were later arrested by the police and produced in court.

He predicted that the Telangana government would suffer defeat in the elections due to the curse of the farming community.
