Reservoir to be constructed in Secunderabad Cantonment

Hyderabad: With a view to mitigate the water problems for the people of Secunderabad and cantonment areas, Telangana government is planing to construct a huge reservoir in Cantonment area in Secunderabad.

Superintendent of Water works Raj Kumar and Cantonment Board member Pandu Yadav including Board's former chairman Jampana Pratap and other officials inspected the area in ICRISAT Phase-2 for the proposed reservoir. The reservoir will be set up with a sump with a capacity of 1.5 lakh gallons of water and an overhead water tank with one lakh liter capacity.

There is another proposal for one more huge reservoir at Trenching Ground in Old Bowenpally, the officials said.
