Relief to Jagathi, stay on attachment of assets worth Rs 51 cr

In a major relief to Jagathi Publication, the Appellate Tribunal of the Enforcement Directorate has stayed the orders of adjudicating authority of ED. The Enforcement Directorate had attached assets worth Rs 51 crores of Jagathi Publications.

Challenging the move, Jagathi lawyers had filed a petition at Appellate Tribunal.

During the hearing, the lawyers confessed that they hadn't got a chance to argue and the decision on attachments was taken unanimously.

The Tribunal after hearing the arguments of Jagathi's counsel brought a stay and adjourned the petition to August 18.
