Red Sander Smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy Brought to India - Sakshi Post

Kollam Gangi Reddy, notorious red sander smuggler was brought to India on Sunday from Mauritius.


A court in Mauritius handed him over to a special police team from Andhra Pradesh. Amidst heavy security, he was shifted from the court to the Mauritius airport and from there the team brought him to New Delhi. They are expected to arrive in Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon.
He was on the run for more than a year after getting a bail in one of the red sander smuggling cases.
A native of Kadapa district, Gangi Reddy was in to red sander smuggling since 15 years. More than 25 cases have been booked against him in police stations of Rayalaseema. He was also an accused in the 2003 Alipiri attack on chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. However, he was acquitted in that case.
He is expected to be presented at a local court in Kadapa district on Monday.
