Red Cross Mobile Blood Bank at Medaram
The Indian Red Cross Society's Warangal Chapter set up a mobile blood bank and sent the vehicle to Sammakka Saralamma Jatara in Medaram yesterday. The mobile blood bank will address any medical emergency at the fair.
It is equipped with two units of blood of each group. Red Cross is also conducting a medical camp at Chintal cross roads near Medaram. They are also distributing free medicines and organising camps in association with the Lions club.
Not only Red Cross, many others too have joined the bandwagon to set up camps and reach out to people in need. The Jana Vignana Vedika has also organised a medical camp enroute the main shrine. The BJP Warangal unit has also sent a team of medical staff comprising eight doctors, para-medical staff and six ambulances. They have equipped these ambulances with medicines worth Rs 1.50 lakhs which will be distributed free of cost to the needy.
